We buy and sell violins, violas, cellos & bows, specializing in fine & rare Italian, English, French & German instruments. With almost 30 years in the violin business, we have a large international client base to market your instruments. We offer a complimentary appraisal if you sell your current violin, viola, or cello through us. If you appoint us as your selling/buying agent, we will guide you through the entire process and discuss the best options available to you.
We are prepared to buy a violin, viola, cello or bow from you outright. Please contact us with details of your instrument/bow.
Appraisals
We offer appraisals for insurance, estate, and probate purposes.
Written insurance appraisals protect the value of your instrument. Insurance companies require written appraisals. We have decades of historical data to accurately assess your instrument's value. An appointment is required for those needing a new appraisal and a minimum of two business days for study. Please inform us of any existing documentation and last known appraisal with your inquiry.

Valued up to $10,000 CAD $175.00 CAD
Valued over $10,000 CAD $275.00 CAD
Updates: $90 CAD/ per item

Certificate of Authenticity
We issue certificates with full descriptions of your instruments including photos and measurements.
Fees: 5% of the value of the instrument/bow
Fine Restoration & Bow Re-hairing
We offer world-class restoration on fine old violins, violas, and cellos. Our past projects include instruments by Antonio Stradivari and other rare makers. Our focus is on conservation using non-invasive methods to restore instruments to their original splendor. Bow re-hairing service is available for professional-grade bows.
Fine Instrument Rental
We provide both corporate and individual needs for fine rental violins, violas, and cellos, subject to background/credit check.
Fine violin rentals start from $25/day.
Strings & Accessories
We carry strings, cases & accessories at the best prices you will find. We are the authorized Canadian distributor for BAM, Riboni, Thomastik, and Pirastro: world-renowned brands for quality and excellence. Please inquire about the current inventory. We can also special-order your ideal case, accessories & strings.
